Terms of Service

These terms cover the free read-only scan, Emergency Cleanup at $499, and Protection at $19 a month or $190 a year per site. Laskyr is run by Daniel Lasek. If a sentence here conflicts with a written quote we email you for one job, that email wins for that job only.

What does a free scan include?

The scan fetches the public URL you submit. It does not log in or change the site. You see what that fetch can see, plus a blacklist lookup only when those API keys are configured. A quiet result is not a clean bill of health. A scan is not a cleanup order and not permission to log in.

What do the paid plans include?

Emergency Cleanup is $499 once, for one WordPress or PHP site. We remove the current compromise we can reach, write a plain-English report of the cause we can support, harden as part of that repair, walk you through a Google review, and re-scan on day 1, day 7, and day 30. The first month of Protection follows once the site is clean. "Hack-free in 24 hours" is a target after we have access, not a promise, and we have not published a measured rate for it.

The $499 fee covers a standard cleanup of one site. If, after we have access, the job is clearly larger โ€” for example a very large or badly damaged database, an e-commerce store, WordPress multisite, several sites on one hosting account, heavy custom code, or work we expect to take more than 5 hours โ€” we stop before doing the extra work and email you a written estimate. The $499 is credited toward it, and additional time is billed at $125 USD per hour. You may approve the estimate in writing, and we continue, or decline it, and we refund the $499 in full. We do not charge more than $499 without your written approval, and we ask again before going past an approved estimate. An approved estimate is a written quote under the paragraph above.

Protection is optional monitoring after a site is clean: recurring read-only checks and blacklist lookups when keys are configured. It is $19 per site per month or $190 per site per year. An already-infected site cannot join Protection until Emergency Cleanup is done. We will not enroll it and bill monitoring instead. Work on more than one site is a separate written quote for each site, not a packaged multi-site plan.

You may cancel so a plan does not renew. Fees for a period already started are not refunded, except where the refund page says otherwise. Prices are in US dollars, paid in advance, and Stripe processes cards when checkout is configured. If it is not, we say so.

What are you responsible for?

You are responsible for your own backups. If you have none, say so on the intake form and we will copy files and the database before editing, where the host lets us. That copy is for the job, not a backup product. You are also responsible for authorization, working access, and what you install or who you share passwords with after handover. Do not ask us to enter a system you have no right to control.

What do we not promise?

We do not promise that a site can never be hacked again. A later stolen password, nulled plugin, or new software flaw is a new event. We also do not promise that Google will lift a warning or that a host will unsuspend an account. The remedies we do state are on the refund page: another cleanup at no charge if the same issue returns within 30 days, and a full refund of the cleanup fee if we cannot clean the site.

How is liability limited?

If we are liable on a claim about a job, the most we pay is the fees you paid Laskyr for that job. The job is the cleanup, the monitoring period, or the free scan the claim is about. A free scan has a zero fee, so its cap is zero. We are not liable for lost profits, rankings, Google's timing, a host's suspension, or other indirect loss, where the law allows that limit. This does not limit liability a court says cannot be limited.

When can we refuse?

We can refuse or stop if authorization is missing, if you ask us to enter a system you do not control, or if the site is not WordPress or PHP and we say so before cleanup starts. If we start and cannot clean it, the refund page applies. See also the privacy page and the authorization page. Contact daniel@daniellasek.com. This draft names no governing law or court. Add that before you rely on it.

This is a practical draft for launch review by a lawyer, not a substitute for legal advice.

Questions

Does a cleanup mean the site can never be hacked again?

No. The terms say the opposite. Cleanup addresses the compromise we were hired for. A later new mistake can lead to a new hack. The paid promise is the 30-day same-issue guarantee and a refund if we cannot clean it.

Who is responsible for backups?

You are. If you have no backup, tell us on the intake form and we will copy files and the database before editing, where the host allows it. That job copy is not a backup product.
