How Much Does It Cost to Fix a Hacked Website?
Fixing a hacked website costs nothing if you do it yourself, a flat $499 for a one-time Laskyr cleanup, or roughly $229 to $1,250 per site per year for a security subscription that includes cleanup. The right choice depends on how many sites you run, how fast you need someone to start, and whether you want ongoing protection bundled in.

What does a hacked website cleanup include?
A real cleanup is more than deleting the files a scanner flags. It should cover four things:
- A backup first, kept off the hacked account, so nothing good is lost.
- Removal of injected code, spam pages, rogue administrators, and backdoors in files and the database.
- Closing the entry point: the outdated plugin, the reused password, or the nulled theme that let them in. Skip this and the site is usually hacked again.
- Proof it stayed clean: re-scans after the job, and help with Google's hacked warning if one appeared.
Ask any provider which of these four they do. "Malware removal" on its own often means only the second.
When is a one-time cleanup the better choice?
Pay once when you have one site, it is hacked now, and you do not want another yearly bill. Laskyr's $499 cleanup includes hardening, a plain-English report on how they got in, re-scans on day 1, 7 and 30, and a guarantee: if the same infection returns within 30 days, it is cleaned again, or the $499 is refunded if it cannot be cleaned.
When is a subscription the better choice?
A subscription makes sense if you manage many sites, keep getting reinfected, or want a web application firewall in front of the site. Over three years, a $229 subscription costs $687, so compare the multi-year total with how often you actually expect to need a cleanup.
What makes a cleanup cost more?
Very large or damaged databases, busy WooCommerce stores, multisite installs, several sites sharing one hosting account, and heavy custom code take longer. At Laskyr, anything expected to need more than five hours of hands-on work gets a written estimate first. Your $499 counts toward it, extra time is $125 an hour, and if you decline the estimate the $499 is refunded.
How do you know if you need a cleanup at all?
Run a free read-only scan first. It checks your public pages for redirects, spam injection, cloaking and hidden code in about 30 seconds and changes nothing on the site.

Questions
How much does it cost to fix a hacked WordPress site?
Doing it yourself costs nothing but time and risk. A one-time professional cleanup from Laskyr is a flat $499. Security subscriptions that include cleanup cost from about $229 to $1,250 per site per year, depending on the vendor and how fast they promise to start.
Is a subscription cheaper than a one-time cleanup?
For one cleanup, a one-time fee is usually simpler. A subscription can be better value if you run many sites, get reinfected often, or want a firewall and unlimited cleanups bundled in. Compare the yearly cost over two or three years, not the first-year price.
Why do some cleanups cost more than the quoted price?
Large or badly damaged databases, busy WooCommerce stores, WordPress multisite, several sites on one hosting account, and heavy custom code all take longer. Laskyr stops and sends a written estimate before doing that extra work, and never charges more than $499 without your written approval.
Does my web host clean hacked sites for free?
Some hosts will restore a backup or suspend the site, and some resell a paid cleanup service. Ask your host what they will do and what it costs before you pay anyone else. A backup restore without finding the entry point often gets reinfected.
