What to do now
- Update WP User Manager to 2.9.20 or newer (the latest is 2.10.5): Dashboard → Updates, or Plugins → “update now”.
- If you cannot update right away, deactivate it until you can.
- Turn on auto-updates for it: Plugins → “Enable auto-updates” on its row.

The advisory
The WP User Manager WordPress plugin before 2.9.20 does not roll back the WordPress account it creates during payment-gated registration when the subsequent payment step fails, allowing unauthenticated users to create functional accounts without completing payment.
