  1. Update Blaze Demo Importer to 1.0.17 or newer (the latest is 1.0.18): Dashboard → Updates, or Plugins → “update now”.
  2. If you cannot update right away, deactivate it until you can.
  3. Turn on auto-updates for it: Plugins → “Enable auto-updates” on its row.
  4. Not sure which version you run? Check your version against every known Blaze Demo Importer issue. With WP-CLI: wp plugin get blaze-demo-importer --field=version.
  5. If you ran an affected version and something looks off (new admin users, spam pages, redirects), run the free scan below.

The advisory

The Blaze Demo Importer WordPress plugin before 1.0.17 does not sanitize uploaded SVG files and registers the SVG MIME type for the WordPress media library unconditionally, allowing authenticated users with the Author role or higher to upload a crafted SVG that executes arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of any user who opens the file.
