What to do now
- Update NEX-Forms to 9.3.1 or newer (the latest is 9.3.3): Dashboard → Updates, or Plugins → “update now”.
- If you cannot update right away, deactivate it until you can.
- Turn on auto-updates for it: Plugins → “Enable auto-updates” on its row.

With WP-CLI:
wp plugin get nex-forms-express-wp-form-builder --field=version. - If you ran an affected version and something looks off (new admin users, spam pages, redirects), run the free scan below.
The advisory
The NEX-Forms WordPress plugin before 9.3.1 does not perform any authorization, ownership or request-validation checks before updating stored form entries, allowing unauthenticated attackers to overwrite, permanently erase, reassign or append to any previously submitted form entry by referencing its sequential identifier.
